Spring Recruitment

Hello CKs!

Spring is among us! It seems like the conference was just yesterday. I hope you all have had a wonderful semester so far, and are getting geared up for new member recruitment! I remember when I received the application; it was so surreal to me! I loved every second of recruitment granted I was nervous and unsure if I was even going to join. The ladies of my chapter were so warm and welcoming, and their dedication to service was amazing. I thought for sure this is an organization that I would love to be a part of. After my initiation, I helped create the new process for applicants to complete before receiving an offer to join Cardinal Key at Southeastern. The recruitment is a 3 day process. The first night is an information/formal night. Candidates are asked to dress up and sit through interviews with current members, as well as, learning about Cardinal Key through our scrap books and oral presentations. The second night is game night. Every potential and current member is asked to dress comfortably so that they may participate in ice breaker and board games, usually pizza is offered! On the final day, only current members meet and go over applications and give potential members points. I can’t reveal exactly how points are given (ssshhh…it’s a secret), but be aware it is fair and has been a big help in recruiting active members. Then on the next day, the letters of acceptance go out! Finally, on the last day we go through the initiation process and welcome our new sisters into our chapter! If you have any questions or need any ideas, please contact me at cknationalparliamentarian@gmail.com. I hope that all chapters have a wonderful and successful recruitment this year. Good luck ladies!
