Homecoming Week

I am the Homecoming chair at Truman State University’s Cardinal Key Chapter, and Homecoming is just around the corner. I have had the honor of working alongside a co-chair (shout out to Kirsten Maakestad) who has made the whole experience that much more fun! Homecoming at Truman is a full week of competitive events for teams of organizations across campus. It keeps school spirit high and builds stronger relationships between organizations. It also raises awareness of organizations across campus. Besides all of that it’s a week filled with FUN!! The whole point of homecoming is for alumni to come back to school after graduation. There are tons of events happening all around campus including the parade, the football game and events with organizations they are involved in. As homecoming co-chair it is Kirsten and I’s job to plan all of the events for the Cardinal Key alumni. For this year there is a luncheon for the Cardinal Keys and alumni to mingle and eat. Then that night after the events for the day have come to a close we have planned a dessert party. It’s a time for us to lay back and relax while also bonding with the past Cardinal Keys. I have had a blast with the planning and am counting down the days until the start of homecoming. It’s a great way for Cardinal Key to get involved and would be great for other chapters to get involved in at your own school.

So much CK Love,

Shelby
