A Look Back…

As the 2013 National Cardinal Key conference draws closer, I can’t help but to reflect on my own first national CK conference experience. In 2011, I attended the national conference in Tempe, Arizona as a delegate and first time CK conference attendee. I was excited and nervous at the same time, not knowing what to expect. However, from the moment my plane landed until the time I stepped back on the plane to return home, I felt as if I had spent the weekend with friends instead of total strangers. From the sessions to the JDRF walk,  I had an amazing time during every aspect of the weekend. I don’t have a favorite event from the weekend, because I thoroughly enjoyed the entire weekend. I went alone and left with friends from across the nation. I was fortunate enough for the opportunity to connect with members from other chapters around the country, as I hope most of you will have this October at the 2013 National Cardinal Key Conference in Chicago. This was surely a weekend that I will remember for the rest of my life. I am definitely ready to make new memories with new and old friends at the upcoming conference this October.
